FORT WORTH – First beer-pairing dinner for me in Funkytown, this one at The Bearded Lady‘s new place on South Main and hosted by the Pink Boots Society of North Texas.
First: Pretzels and Cheddar, fried Brie croutons, goat cheese and fig spread. Paired with HopFusion BTS (Sorachi Ace-Hopped Berlinerweisse).
Second: Orange slivers, feta, arugula, roasted walnuts, fried quinoa, citrus vinaigrette. Paired with Martin House My Pretty Lady (Citrus IPA).
Third: Beer-braised lamb shoulder with smoked Gouda risotto and charred broccolini. Paired with Funky Picnic Every King Needs Her Crown (Belgian strong ale).
Fourth: Peanut butter brownie with strawberry coulis and vanilla ice cream. Paired with Rahr Pretty In Pug (Black lager with strawberry, chocolate and peanut butter).
