Beer and Food Pairing Christmas Social

DENTON – Their first such event at Denton County Brewing, a very informal affair hosted in the back brewery room.

Courses were tapas-style pairings featuring all house beers and food by local chef Austin Ford. Overall, quite successful with a few remarkable results.

First: Shortbread cookie. Paired with Hometown Wheat.

Second: Roasted pork tenderloin on a parsnip purée with demiglace. Paired with Cherry Hoppins.

Third: Bruschetta with brie, mango and cilantro. Paired with Blueberry Fortune IPA.

Fourth: Cacao nib-crusted catfish with Guinness rice. Paired with Night Witch.

Fifth: Walnut pecan pie-style tart. Paired with an unreleased bourbon barrel-aged Scotch ale (Celt Buckle in Witherspoon casks).
