DENTON – Not Barley & Board‘s first beer-pairing dinner but been on hiatus for about 14-month. My first to attend here, curious how they would do.
Semi-intimate dinner upstairs in private room. Delicious courses on par with normal menu, each paired with beers from Colorado’s Avery Brewing.
Hors d’Oeuvres: Hummus fritters with an her bed crema. Paired with White Rascal.
Appetizer: White shrimp ceviche with wonton crisps and cucumber. Paired with Bug Zapper.
Fish: Bergamot tea steamed cobia with white bean farro and grapefruit. Paired with Maharaja.
Entrée: Tamarind braised short rib with hominy polenta. Paired with Bourbon Barrel-aged Vanilla Bean Stout.
Dessert: Dundee cake with currants and sultanas and rye whiskey cream with pistachios. Paired with The Reverend.
